Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd. is actively pursuing the exploration and future development of their flagship property, the 'Spanish Mountain project'. Initial exploration operations have revealed promising gold deposits throughout the claim area.

About This Project

Located approximately 70 km northeast of Williams Lake, BC the Spanish Mountain project involves the construction and operation of an open pit gold mine with a production capacity of 14.6 million tonnes of ore per year.

Based on the company's 2012 NI 43-101 Resource Calculation, the Spanish Mountain resource contains 3.18 Million Measured & Indicated and 3.65 Million Inferred gold ounces. Over a 15-year mine life, the project is expected to produce over 200,000 ounces per year of Au, with the greatest yields expected in the first 3 years of operation.

The project proponent sees many competitive advantages for the Spanish Mountain project including good regional infrastructure, a strong labor pool, access to cheap electrical power (hydro), low corporate taxes, and a stable and business friendly political jurisdiction.

The company has been active is building and strengthening relationships with area stakeholders. Protocol Agreements have been signed with three First Nations bands for participation during EA and permitting review; providing a framework towards Impact Benefits Agreements.

Spanish Mountain's Project Description has been accepted by both the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency and the project is currently in the 'Pre-Application' phase of the Environmental Assessment and Permitting process.
